Blue Soleil, for Project Spectrum
And it fits! It's form-fitting but not too tight, and the armholes are perfect. I tried it on before blocking and it's not too short. This is my first attempt at blocking. It's hard to see the pins in the photo. It looks a little wonky, but it's still wet, so I may re-shape it later. I spun it out in the washer and it does not look as smooth as I'd like. Will it look better when it dries? It's knit with Elann Sonata. Does anyone have any advice?

Looks great! No advice on the yarn though, sorry :)
ReplyDeleteNo advice as I've never blocked anything, Yet. Just a compliment. That sure is pretty and congratulations on the fit.
ReplyDeleteThe color is so beautiful! Such a pretty pattern too. I personally have never blocked unless you call lightly steaming it with a t-shirt over it to protect it. That's the way I do it. Yes, it does make it better.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I hope we get to see a picture of it actually being modelled...
ReplyDeleteThe ironing comment is a good one, and I might even try throwing it in the dryer - but then again I'm kind of nuts when it comes down to washing and drying my handknits, so better not listen anyway.
Have fun!
